In March I decided to make a life style change. Not just lose weight, but actually change the way I do things and the way I approach life all together. I started to count calories and started to work out. I was doing well for the first three months, and dropped 40 pounds. Then I hit a plateau. For three weeks I would drop and gain the same 5 pounds. I was talking to Rami, owner of Formwell Fitness, and he suggested to give Fresh’n Fit a try. I have got to say with in the first week those five pounds were gone and almost three weeks in I am down over 10 pounds. From the research I did, Fresh’n Fit was the best tasting and the most value for the buck.
I do not have a routine schedule. It varies almost day to day. I like the fact that the night before there is no planning for what should I pack tomorrow. I was prepping the same food over and over again, and it was starting to get boring. Then when it gets boring, the thought creeps into your head, hey let me go out for lunch today, cant hurt. Then before you know it you have gone out to lunch three times in the week. Then when it comes to dinner, though we (my family) would be eating better food at home, the portions were tough to manage. I mean are you really going to put a spoonful of scalloped potatoes in the frig for tomorrow? Nah, I will throw them on my plate and finish them off. The thing I like about Fresh’n Fit, is the portions are done. It is pre-made and pre-weighted and portion controlled. I know what I get from Fresh’n fit is what is inn the container is what is for dinner. I have learned to pace myself to make the food last longer. So the convenience is that it is made and done and there is no measuring or nothing. I leave the pre-made breakfasts and lunch in the frig at work and bring home the dinners and the week is done.
Wow! What a question. There have been a bunch that have been great. Not going to lie, a few have been ok, but the majority have been delicious. I think as far as my favorite goes has to be a tie between the Teriyaki Chicken Wings on a bed of rice with a side of vegetables or there was a Turkey dish that was served on a bed of noodles. The noodles were not pasta but made of something like pasta that was very tasty.
I am a member of Formwell Fitness in Sandy Springs. I can not rave enough about this place. The owner Rami is great. Very in tune in what you are doing and what your personal fitness goals are. He has paired me with Darian, my trainer. Talk about two peas in pod. Darian is great. He works me enough that he pushes me, but not to the point where it is miserable. He knows where I am physically and where I want to get too. Besides the great weight training at a fast pace, the talk of comic books, WWE, and the newest movies that are out make me want to come back. We typically train 3 to 4 days a week with weights, 45 minutes a day. He will also vary it with Rope routines, boxing, or other things to change it up. Before I start with him I try to get 30 minutes on the treadmill or the elliptical. My goal is 200 minutes of Cardio a week, now I am getting just over 100, but I am striving for the goal. I also do Cardio on my own when my schedule permits.
